Complete renovation and transformation of a period Victorian end of terrace, including 3 storey side extension, loft conversion and full rear extension.

This project involved the complete renovation and transformation of a Victorian end of terrace cottage.  A three storey side extension created an expansive open-plan kitchen and living space filled with natural light, enhancing the connection between home and garden and added an additional bedroom on the 1st floor.

Throughout the house, original features were carefully restored and paired with modern finishes and bespoke detailing, resulting in a home that combines the elegance of the past with the comfort and functionality of modern family living.

This modest Victorian cottage was extended to create a large family home. We spent a significant amount of time with our structural engineer and Thames Water designing the foundations for the side and rear extension which is built over a large Victorian sewer. The new side extension created a large entrance hall which leads into the open plan kitchen and living area. We lowered the floor level to the rear of the property to allow higher ceilings in the rear. A pantry was introduced to reduce clutter in the kitchen.
The formal living room was retained in the existing house and upstairs the side extension allowed the formation of three new bedrooms on the first floor and in the loft.
